Granddaughter of Thomas Seaton/Seetin and Sarah McGee Seetin

Mrs. Mattie Skinner, 81, died last night at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Her residence was at 1229 Almira Ave., where she and her late husband, Roslan Skinner Sr. moved after retiring from the operation of a farm west of town. Skinner died in 1943. Mrs. Skinner was born in Douglas County and had lived here all her life except for 10 years spent in Oklahoma.
She is survived by eight sons, Roslan (Rody) Skinner Jr., 2026 Vt. St.; Samuel Skinner and Roscoe Skinner, Sayre, Okla.; Harry Skinner and George Skinner, Carlsbad, N.M.; Chester Skinner, Route 4; Francis Skinner, Eudora, and Mark Skinner, Portalis, N.M.; three daughters, Mrs. Hattie Richards, Carlsbad, N.M.; Mrs. Elizabeth Stebbins, Green Forest, Ark., and Mrs. Mildred Rood, 639 Miss. St.; a sister, Mrs. Ella Hamlin, 12421/2 N. J. St.; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the pastor, the Rev. Harold Hamilton, in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rumsey Funeral Home until noon tomorrow.
