Mildred Ethelyn Fortney was born 18 Feb 1910 in Preston County, the daughter of Draper Fortney & Isa (Sigley) Fortney. On 13 Apr 1929 she married Alfred Thomas Hardman Sr, in Grafton,Taylor County,WV. Mildred & Alfred had one son, Douglas William Hardman Sr. Mildred & Alfred were divorced on 23 Nov 1946. Mildred married her second husband, Arnold Phillip Koch, on 24 Dec 1946 in Red House, Garrett County, MD. Mildred & Arnold had no children.

Mildred Koch,82 of Rt. 1 Tunnelton,died Wednesday,August 19,1992 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.She was born February 18,1910 in Tunnelton.A daughter of the late Draper and Ica Sigley Fortney.She was a member of the Denver United Methodist Church and the VFW Post 2345 Ladies Auxillary.She is survived by her son Douglas Hardman of Tunnelton.One brother,Marion Fortney of Phoenix,Arizona.Two sisters,Elsie Phillips of Tunnelton and Freda Shahan of Lexington,Kentucky.One Grandaughter and one Great Grandson.She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Koch in 1989.Two brothers,one sister and one grandson.
