Burnis Agafa Griffin, 62, born 14 Aug 1877, died Tuesday, 3 Oct 1939, at his residence in Hoboken.

Born near Hoboken, he was a son of the late Pleasant Dempsey Griffin and Jane Elizabeth Thornton.

Survivors are his wife, Myrtle Satilla Altman Griffin; six sons, Wilbur, Ira Perry, Owens, Leon, and Luther Griffin, all of Hoboken; and five daughters, Mrs. D. W. Henderson of Manor, Mrs. R. E. Hill of Melfa, VA, Mrs. J. T. Minchew of Miami, FL, Mrs. R. P. Drayton of Ft. Myers, FL, and Mrs. Avant Freeman of Waycross; also several brothers and sisters, and twenty grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at High Bluff Cemetery near Hoboken.
