Services for Clarence Ray Owen, Sr., 88, of 604 Southerland Rd, who died Monday at the Brunswick Hospital after an extended illness, were scheduled for 3 p.m. today at the First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jack Dell officiating. Interment will be in Brunswick Memorial Park.

A native of Defiance, Ohio, he had been a resident of Glynn County since April, coming here from Vero Beach, Fla. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Adell P. Owen of Brunswick; two daughters, Betty Gaines and Barbara Hinkle, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Reatha Lane of Brunswick and Lurlyne McRae of Oklahoma City; a stepson, A.L. Phillips, Sr. of Brunswick; a brother, a sister, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Stephen Lane, Glenn Kemp, Michael Phillips, Buddy Phillips, Wilbert Lawrence and Kimm Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Bible Class of the First Church of the Nazarene. The body is scheduled to be in the church one hour before the service.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
