Obituary;
James E. Sheppard, 85 195 Bumpass Cove Road, Erwin, died Saturday, May 23, 1992 at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. He was a retired painter.
Mr. Sheppard was a Harriman Native and a son of the late Arthur and Rosa Coffey Sheppard.

Mr. Sheppard had been a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild for the past 10 years.

Survivors included his wife, Mabel Bond Sheppard; two sons, Larry W. Sheppard, Galion, Ohio and Douglas G. Sheppard, Linville, N. C.;
Three daughters, Carolyn D. Clevenger, Galion, Patricia L. Whitmer, Lexington Ohio and Elaine Hauck, Mt. Gilead, Ohio; one brother David Sheppard, Oakdale, TN; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
