HINGHAM Lewis H. Amonte, lifelong resident of Hingham, age 67, died February 17, 2009. He worked for R.V. Amonte Construction in Hingham for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid sportsman and enormous sports fan, and enjoyed his Harley Davidson and summers in Humarock. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Beloved husband of Kathy (MacMurray) Amonte. Father of Rocco Amonte and his wife Tamara of Chicago, IL, Tony Amonte and his wife Laurie and Kim Abbate and her husband Paul, all of Norwell, Kelly Hiller and her husband Scott of Evanston, IL. Brother of Alice Shaughnessy and her long time companion Bob Mann of Hingham, and her children Joe, Sharon and Karen. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 21 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Anthony's Church, Cohasset. Visiting hours Friday, February 20 from 3-8 p.m. in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St., (across from St. Anthony's Church), Cohasset. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
