Born 13 Nov 1844 in Hille, Minden, Westphalia, daughter of Carl Heinrich August Breek & Caroline Wilhelmina Rohdefeld. Her brother Christian and her sister Maria (Breek) Haage also emigrated to Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa, via Baltimore. Louise was not with them then.
She was married to Henry Krueger by Rev. Willis C. Craig in Keokuk on 19 May 1867, witness Isaac Bloom. They had nine children, seven of whom grew to adulthood. One died at birth and another as a toddler.

Mrs. Louisa Krueger went to Bed in the Best of health and was Found Dead This Morning..
Mrs. Louisa Krueger died this morning at her home, 1328 Bank street. She went to bed last night in her usual health and died as she slept shortly before 8 o'clock this morning. She was found dead by her two grandchildren. She was born in Prussia, November 13, 1844, and came to America early in the sixties. Her maiden name was Elizabeth Broeck, and she was married in Keokuk in 1867, to Henry Krueger, Sr., who had come to America on the same vessel in which she came. She has lived in Keokuk ever since her marriage and was the mother of nine children, seven of whom survive her. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical church and was a devoted christian. She had worked hard all her life and taught her family by precept and example the sterling qualities of honesty and industry which marked her own life and character. Her husband died in March, 1900. The children who survive are: Mrs. E.J. Pflug, of Keokuk, Charles H. Krueger, of Clark county, Missouri; Mrs. Gus Pflug, of Keokuk; Mrs. Edward Emery of Schuyler, Neb.; Henry F.
