OBITUARY:

Clarence "Maw" Milam

Clarence "Maw" Milam, 71, 419 E. Beech St., Sullivan, died Monday evening at his residence. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion Post No. 139 and the VFW Post No. 2459. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie, and son, William Neal, in 1978.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Buskirk, Shoals; six brothers, Curlus, Akron, Ohio, Henry, Sullivan, Lloyd, Indianapolis, Hud, California, Robert, Tucson, Ariz., and William, Benton, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Leighty, Akron, Mrs. Kathryn Graham, Sullivan, Mrs. Edith Kloer, Virginia Beach, Va., and Mrs. Rebecca McElroy, Cal.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. John Lyttle officiating. Burial and graveside military rites will take place in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday.
