Carroll J. Barber, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 17, 2009. She was born July, 21, 1936 and raised in Donaldson, Arkansas the daughter of Ruby and Calvin Walker. She was an accomplished artist and musician. She received numerous awards and recognition for porcelain lace drape dolls, ceramics, and quilting. She played both the piano and organ and attended Henderson University.
In addition to her parents, her daughter Kari Barber Arnold preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Jim D. Barber; one daughter, Dr. Dana Barber Gonzales; two Son in laws, Ron Gonzales and Dan Arnold; two grandsons, Dean Gonzales and James Gonzales; one granddaughter, Skylar Arnold; and one aunt, Christine Smith.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m, Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel (501) 224-8300. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 10:00 until 10:30 a.m., Friday.
Pallbearers will be: Dan Arnold, Lynn Barber, Donald Barber, Dean Gonzales, James Gonzales, and Ron Gonzales.
