Cavitt was born in the Burton district of the county and resided his entire life in the Washougal area where he did some farming, logging, wood hauling and gardening until he retired a few years ago.
He was born Sept. 12, 1884.
Survivors include his widow, Susan, at the family home; a brother, Richard of Brush Prairie; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Odoms of Oakland, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The final rites will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Stoller Roselight Chapel in Washougal. The Rev. George Jefferson will officiate. Interment will follow at Fern Prairie Cemetery.
