Services for Jess W. Garrett, 74, Success, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Evans Chapel here with the Rev. Curtis Yarnell officiating. Burial will be in Emery Cemetery near Bucyrus.
Mr. Garrett died Friday in Texas County Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He had worked as an electrician at Fort Leonard Wood for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia; four sons, Wilfred, Checotah, Okla., Lyle and Larry Dale, both of Licking, and Dorman, address unavailable; seven daughters, Mrs. Viola Chambers, Lee's Summit, Mrs. Iola Scott, Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Ireta Goldston, Garland, Texas, Mrs. Velma Gaston, Bucyrus, and Mrs. Melvadean Morton, Mrs. Leta Massey and Mrs. Bonnie Gaston, all of Houston; three brothers, Floyd, Ellis Prairie, Milton, Des Moines, and Bertie, Waukee, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Vergolia Owensby, St. Louis; 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
