Mrs. Webster was a daughter of James R. and Orrenda (Wills) Carson, pioneer settlers of the Cicero community where she lived most of the time until her marriage.
She was an intellectual woman and active in many community affairs as long as her health would permit. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and for many years, taught a Sunday school class in the Westfield Methodist Church. Also she played the piano for the church for a long time.
In her younger days, she taught piano music and there are still many persons in the county who recall that she was their piano instructor. She was also active in the work of the Woman's Club of Westfield and the Hamitlon County Garden Club.
