15 May 1917: Mrs. Katherine Hauer (sic), widow of the late Levi Hauer, of 456 New Street, died here on Monday from heart trouble, death being sudden and almost wholly unexpected. She was 82 years old and leaves nine children as follows: John, David, Ephraim, Franklin, Serenus, William, Alfred, Emma and Mrs. Edward Stober. She was a member of the congregation worshipping at Klopp's church. The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the New street residence. [Lebanon Daily News]
