"Woman Stricken At Work Here Dies On Way to Hospital ~ A 54-yer-old Wichita woman stricken while at work died Wednesday in an ambulance en route to St. Francis Hospital.
She was Mrs. LaVerne Jacques of 1405 N. Emporia. County Coroner Dean L. Bratt said the woman had been under a doctors care for a heart disease for several weeks.
Mrs. Jacsques was born June 28, 1903, at Dexter, Kan., and had been a Wichta resident since 1917. She was employed by the American Insurance Group and was stricken at the firm's office in the Insurance Building, 212 N. Market.
Mrs. Jacques was married to Clifford Jacques in Wichita on Oct. 8, 1932. She was a member of Church of Christ and resided at Mulvane, Kan., prior to moving to Wichita.
Survivors include her husband and four sisters, ..., ..., ..., ...,.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Cochran Mortuary.
Rites were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Cochran Mortuary with the Rev. Wilburn C. Hill, of Cleveland Avenue Church of Christ, officiating."
