Merrill she states that she and Ruppert were NOT married.) However, she reported that Ruppert Raymond was the biological father of her son David R. Merrill, born 1840. ) In the 1850 U S Census of Harrison, Hamilton County Ohio, David is enumerated as the son of James and Mary Merrill.

Her Obituary that was reported in the Harrison Press June 15, 1905 Pg 2:3 indicates that she passed away at the home of her son James M. Merill (he is buried in the plot next to her at Old Baptist Cemetery)
