Visitation will be Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Resthaven. Celebration of Life will be 1 p.m. Friday at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel.
Betty Jo (Mitchell) Putman was born June 14, 1925 in Memphis, Texas to the late James H. and Lois (Bevers) Mitchell. She moved to Lubbock in 1931 and graduated from Wolfforth High School in 1943. She married Charles Anderson Putman, Jr. in 1946 in Lubbock. Betty attended Texas Tech before working at Lubbock National Bank in the Mortgage Department. She held that job for 18 years. Betty also had worked for the ABC Rodeo, the Lubbock Symphony and the South Plains Fairs as a ticket distributor. Betty enjoyed cooking and sewing and being a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Temple Church of Lubbock and Girls Town USA.
