Services for Perry Aden Allen, 81, Ada, will be conducted by the Rev. H.L. Baker assisted by the Rev. Delbert Akin, in the First Free Will Baptist Church of Ada at 2;30 p.m. Wednesday. The Ada Lodge, No. 119, AF&AM, will conduct graveside services at Rosedale Cemetery. Grandsons will be honorary bearers. Criswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Allen died Monday at his home. He had been in failing health for nine years. Born in Denton County, Texas, March 10, 1988, to William Jackson Allen and Martha Ann Choat Allen, he came to Ada vicinity in 1906 and was engaged in the trucking business here for 31 years.
He and Miss Annie Van Buren were married in Ada, I.T., March 10, 1906.
Mr. Allen was a member of Free Will Baptist Church, affiliating with the Cedar Hill Church in 1912. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge in 1917 in Wynnewood. He also was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
Survivors are his wife, Annie; five sons, George Albert (Pete), Harrison, J.C. , and Henry, all of Ada, and Harold, Moore; four daughters, Blanche Cheek, Lena Brown, both of Ada, Edna Burns, Keota, Sylvia Simpson, Elroy, Arizona; 47 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.
