Rita Helen Duet Adams, 83, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park.

She is survived by five sons, Nathan Adams Jr., and wife, Vicki, of Houma; Jerome "Jay" Adams and wife, Mary Linda, of Bourg; Patrick Adams and wife, Terry, of Montegut; Daniel Adams and wife, Norma, of Houma and Phillip Adams of Houma; one daughter, Mary Ellen Trosclair and husband, Harry, of Houma; one brother, Horace Paul Duet of Houma; one sister, Eleanor Savoie of Houma; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Paul Adams Sr.; her parents, Jackson and Asyle Eymard Duet; three brothers, Lee Duet, Steve Duet and Colins Duet; and two sisters, Melivina Theriot and Phyllis King.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
