Jesse LeRoy Hardman, 41, 1294 W. 11th North, died Friday in a Salt Lake hospital from injuries suffered in a car-truck crash April 24.
He suffered multiple rib fractures when his car and a semi-truck and trailer collided at 11:59 p.m. just north of the intersection at 8th West and 4th North.
Mr. Hardman was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Salt Lake City, a son of Jesse Christensen and Annabel Pettet Hardman. He married Betty J. Sperry Dec. 7, 1946, in Salt Lake City.
He was an ordnance man at Hill Air Force Base and was a member of the Rose Park Eighth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a scout committeeman. Mr. Hardman served in the Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his widow, four sons, Michael, Richard, Kevin, Steven, all Salt Lake City; father and stepmother, Salt Lake City; a sister, Mrs. A. G. (Darhl) Wall, Magna; three half brothers and six half sisters, Dale, Richard, Alvin, Gladys Hardman, Mrs. Ross (Barbara) Taylor, Mrs. George (Helen) Stanger, Mrs. Pete (Carla) Vietti, all Salt Lake City; Mrs. William (Leah) Nelson, Sandy; Mrs. Boyd (Marilyn) Shaw, Clearfield.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. in the Rose Park Eighth LDS Ward Chapel, 1155 N. 11th West. Friends may call at 260 E. South Temple Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel Monday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Redwood Memorial Estates.
