ABILENE - Deborah Lynn Zanchettin DeBerry, 53, formerly of Amarillo, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Beltway Park Baptist Church with Mark Hewitt, Doug Royston and Chad Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park by Hamil Family Funeral Home.

On June 20, 1955, Debbie was born in Portland, Ore., to Dante "Doc" and Betty Breeding Zanchettin. She graduated from Caprock High School in Amarillo and attended West Texas State in Canyon. Debbie married Jim DeBerry on Dec. 18, 1976, in Amarillo. She moved to Abilene from Grand Junction, Colo., in 1983. Debbie was a member of Delta Zeta sorority, Big Country Emmaus Community and Beltway Park Baptist Church.

Debbie was a loving wife, mother and daughter who never failed to put others before herself. She loved to travel with her family, from snow skiing in the Colorado mountains to lounging on the beaches of Hawaii. Debbie was always such a gracious hostess to all her family and friends, in times of need or in times of celebration. She was a wonderful homemaker as well as a fantastic cook, and many of her recipes will be hard to beat. With Allstate Insurance, Debbie and her husband were co-owners of the DeBerry Agency. She received the National Champions Sales Award and won Honor Ring Award several times during her career.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dante Zanchettin; and a nephew, Tyler.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Zanchettin of Amarillo; her husband, Jim DeBerry; a son, Brent James DeBerry of Abilene; a daughter, Kendra DeBerry of Abilene; a brother, Steve Zanchettin and wife Cathy of Arlington; and four nieces and nephews, Jana, Jessie, Travis and Tanner.

The family suggests memorials be to Love and Care Ministries, 233 Fannin St., Abilene, TX 79603.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
