Daughter of Thomas and Martha Power who settled in the Caledonia region in the 1820’s and whose farm was located on the Stanley Road, now the Jack Groves place. Elizabeth (Powers) Groves had three sisters: Malinda (John Wesley Brewer), Sarah Power (John M. Dowdle) and Margaret Power (William M. Sanders). Elizabeth married Elijah M. Groves. Some of the children of Elijah M. and Elizabeth (Power) Groves were:
