Mark Snyder of 210 Jackson St., Hollidaysburg, died at 10:15 a.m. yesterday in Mercy Hospital, where he was admitted Monday, after an extended illness. He was born at Mount Pleasant Mills Aug. 21, 1899, a son of John and Alice (Smeltz) Snyder, and on June 11, 1917, in Cumberland, Md., married Jeannette Decker, who died June 21, 1960. Surviving are four children, Marand, at home; Mrs. Marguerite Gannon of Laramie, Wyo., R. Marvin of West Chester and Mrs. Marcella Meek of Altoona; 14 grandchildren and a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Pauline Gordon of Freeburg, Ernest of Millmont and Jonathan of Newport. Mr. Snyder, known to his friends as “Dutch’ retired as a boiler-maker helper on disability from the PRR. Friends will be received in the Plank Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, after 7 p.m. today.
