A resident of Decatur for 47 years, he had worked for both the Decatur Lumber Co., and the Lion Lumber Co. before he retired in 1958.
He married Lura May Taylor, who died in 1918, and Leotha Schaniel who died in 1934. On July 3, 1935, he married Teresa Young Tedford in Decatur, Ill.
He was survived by his wife, a son, Milo R., of Decatur; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Tarr, of Carrolton, Mo.: two step-daughters, Mrs. Doris (Don) Collins, of Decatur; and Mrs. Neola (Glenn) Thompson, of Pana; sisters, Mrs. Nona Zerkle, of Sebring, FL; and Mrs. Minnie Horn, of Gambier, OH; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
