Alice Irene Norman, 93, of Chesterfield, widow of Kenny Woodrow "Woody" Norman Sr., passed away February 28, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Scott Reams and Sarah Ila Hamner Reams Burkett; a son, Kenny Woodrow Norman Jr.; two grandsons, Charles Wayne Leonard and Woodrow Allen Leonard Sr.; and four great-grandchildren, Paul William Farmer, Hunter Lee Farmer, Brooks M Islip and Elizabeth Nicole Islip.
She is survived by six children, Gladys Irene Norman Farmer Tuck, Sarah Jane Norman Leonard Islip (George), Nora Rebecca "Dinky" Norman Poh (Pat), Jeanette Elizabeth Norman Warriner (Carter "Stumpy"), Nancy Carol Norman Catlett (Kenny), Robert Nicolis "Bobby" Norman (Carol A); daughter-in-law, Carol R. Norman; and sister-in-law, Doris Hall Reams. Her legacy includes 30 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 44 great-great-grandchildren.
Her passions were family, flowers and food. She was a fantastic role model.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bliley's- Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday. Interment, next to her husband at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
