Funeral Services Held Wednesday for Fern Prairie Man.
George Merry Bassett died Sunday at Russell's sanitarium at the age of 75, from an extended illness. Funeral services were held at Stoller's chapel Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Clemons officiated and mucic was by Mrs. Clemons.
Mr. Bassett was a retired salesman and had lived in Fern Prairie for the past 11 years. He was born in Charlston, Iowa.
Surviving him are four sons, Clarence H. and Herbert W. of Camas; Walter G. Boise, Idaho, and Everett H., Nampa, Idaho; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Moore, Bend, Ore.; two brothers, Howard E., Long Beach, Calif., Allen of Charlston, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Nettie Cross of Wilder, Idaho.
