Bushyhead was born at Fort Gibson, April 11, 1880. He died January 24, following a heart attack. He was married to Miss Helen Hern on Sept. 4, 1902. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Hern, early settlers of Cane Hill, Ark. They established a home near the Baptist Mission which was the allotment of Mr. Bushyhead's grandfather, the Rev. Jesse Bushyhead. They resided on this farm until World War I when they moved to Westville where they since lived. For many years he was associated with W.J. Foreman in the real estate business, and previous to his retirement the last year, was with the Langley Realty company for two years. He had been a member of the Baptist Mission church for more than 60 years, but he and Mrs. Bushyhead were active in the local Baptist church because of the church nearness to their home. Survivors include his wife, Helen, of the home; a half-brother, Butler Bushyhead of Pilot Grove, Mo; three nephews, George, Dennis and Jesse Bushyhead of Claremore.
