Kewanee, IL - Donley "Don" M. Greenhagen, 88, of Kewanee died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Kewanee Hospital.

Don was born January 7, 1921 in Kewanee, the son of Leslie Robert "Les" and Elizabeth F. (Pinkel) Greenhagen. He married Lois Irene Currier in 1963 in Cairo, IL.

She preceded him in death, as well two brothers, Marvin, and Arlo, and one daughter, Nancy Currier in infancy.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II.

Don is survived by seven sons, Marty (Edna) Greenhagen, David (Jonelle) Greenhagen, Jody (Laura) Greenhagen, Steve (Ruthann) Mallery, Jim (Lisa) Mallery, Jim Griggs and Rich (Deb) Mallery; 27 grandchildren; and many great, and great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Alan Greenhagen.

Don worked for Mutual Electric Co. in Kewanee, then was in sales in Chicago, and lastly had owned Greenhagen's Bicycle Repair and Custard business in Kewanee.

Graveside services will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded at a later date. There will be no visitation.
