William Virgil Wangler, was a son of August and Etta (Winkler) Wangler. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty Styer, Maxine Wangler and his brother, Lawrence Wangler.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Hilda (Claypool) Wangler; four children, Peggy (Howard) Carrell, Lynn (John) Childs, Bill (Candy) Wangler and Brian (Lindy) Wangler; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He first worked on the Wabash Railroad, then as an automobile mechanic at Packard Agency, B.P. Motors. He worked many years as service manager at Shepherd Lincoln-Mercury before retiring as body shop manager at Noble Motors in 1991.
