James Alexander Silvertooth married Sarah Ann Waggoner on Feb 7 1849. He served in the Civil War fighting for the south. He achieved the rank of Sergeant Major in Peter Turneys 1st Tennessee, company D. He left and went home due to illness (Chronic Bronchitis) in 1861.
He made his home in Franklin County Tennessee where he was at times a farmer and others was a constable.
The couple had eight children: William, Joesph, Sarah, Lucy, Nancy, James, Robinson Crusoe and Mary.
Sarah and Lucy were twins.
William and Joseph were also twins.
William Silvertooth and Mary Frances Silvertooth Beville both lie in the family group buried near their parents, James and Sarah Ann.
