The son of Church Case and Mary Gordon Case, he was born May 10, 1900, in Cuddebackville.
Mr. Case was member and elder of the Cuddebackville Reformed Church, president of the Rural Valley Cemetery, a 50-year member of the Port Jervis Masonic Lodge 328, a 40-year member of the Port Jervis Elks No. 645, a World War I Army veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 685, a member of the Minisink Valley Historical Society, a member of the D&H Canal Society, a charter member of the Deerpark Fire Company No. 1, Cuddebackville, a member of the Orange and Rockland Funeral Association, a member of the New York State Funeral Directors Association, past president and honorary member of the Port Jervis Rotary, director emeritus of the Inter-County Savings Bank and a 50-year member of the Mahogamack Hook and Ladder Company, Port Jervis.
Survivors include his sister, Louise Hedgecock, of Redlands, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the Gray Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home. The Rev. John P. Kuehl and the Rev. Bruce Hardy will officiate.
Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville.
