Mrs. Sarah Burke, who resided one and one-half miles north of Nashville, Mo., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. L. Wiles, 306 East Seventeenth Street, yesterday morning at 9 o’clock. Death was due to Bright’s disease. She had been at her daughter’s home for about six weeks coming to Pittsburg to take treatment. Mrs. Burke was 49 years of age. She was a member of the Christian Church at Nashville. For 21 years she had been a resident of the Nashville neighborhood. Her maiden name was Clara Clesta. On Feb. 14, 1884, she was married to J.O. Burke at Topeka. Mr. Burke survives her as do two daughters living in Pittsburg --- Mrs. Wiles and Miss Pearl Burke. Funeral services were held at the home this morning at 9 o’clock. F.M. King of the Christian Science Society was in charge of the service. Burial was in Lamar Cemetery.
