Analysis of Data to Prove the Father/Daughter Relationship between James Baker and Cornelia A. Baker Tyler
Since there is no birth record stating that James & Mary Barrett Baker are the parents of Cornelia A. Baker Tyler and she is not living with them in the 1850 census (she was married in 1848) it is necessary to show the relationship with other documentation.
1.Berkshire Co. Ma, Probate #10621, 1868, for Catherine Colver. Catherine was the mother of James Baker and grandmother of Cornelia Baker Tyler. After the death of Catherine's first husband, Calvin Baker, in about 1807, Catherine married Nathaniel Colver. The probate of her will, dated 1868, lists her children - #1 being her deceased son, JAMES BAKER (died 1867). There follows a list of his children, with the first being CORNELIA TYLER (of) Missouri. ["Children of James Baker a deceased son: Cornelia Tyler, Missouri; Sarah Marsh, North Carolina; Calvin Baker, New York; Mary A. Wooster, Fitchburg, Mass.; Lovinia [?] (married name unknown), Fitchburg, Mass.; Catharine Wheeler, Richmond, Mass.; Daniel Baker, Illinois"]
2.James Baker is buried in the same cemetery plot with his daughter Cornelia Baker Tyler
