ADAMSVILLE - Effie D. Gean, 94, homemaker, died Thursday of kidney failure at McNairy County General Hospital in Selmer. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at First Christian Church here, where she was a member, with burial in Adamsville Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home of Selmer has charge.
Mrs. Gean, the widow of Robert M. Gean, leaves a daughter, Georgia Nichols, and a son, Jimmy Gean, both of Adamsville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
