He was survived by his wife, Mary Alford; mother Olga 'Sis' Alford; sons, Ernest Alford, of Dallas, James Alford; daughter Jeni Johnson and husband Jeremiah; step-sons, Donald Bearce and wife Leah, Jason Bearce and wife Kristin, Brian Gibbs and wife Brooke; step-daughter, Romandy Gibbs; eight grandchildren; brothers, Avery Alford and wife Della, Robert Alford and wife Julie; sisters, Peggy Alford and Kathy Tillman and husband Clem.
