Newspaper clipping from the July 9, 1886 edition of the San Antonio Daily Express. Transslation as follows: "Yesterday afternoon a wagon in which two curious people were seated attracted a great deal of attention. There were two dwarfs, the son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Blair of Erath County who were en route home from Bandera where they had beden visiting relatives. The son, Hiram, is 25 years old and is 28 inches tall and weighs forty pounds, while the girl Sarah Belle Blair is 20 and weighs 45 pounds and is 31 inches in stature. Both of the midgets have red hair and Hiram has a red mustasche and chin whiskers. Their father related to an Express/News reporter that he had frequent offers to place them on exhibition, but declined to do so. He did not appear embarrassed at the crowd which surrounded the wagon on the plaza and patiently answered all the curious questions put to him about his curious progeny. The midgets themselves did not appear embarrassed by the curiousity they attracted."
