Mrs Laura Roach Brandon, 76, of 920 Brandon St., died in a local hospital Thursday at 7:50 p.m.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs Sallie Hendricks of Gastonia; five sons, Boyd, Floyd, Boyce, Lee, James D and Jerry Ray Brandon, all of Gastonia; a sister, Mrs Victoria Wallace of Gastonia; three brothers, James D Roach, Arthur J Roach of Gastonia and William F Roach of Lumberton; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev S Guy Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
The body will remain at Ward Funeral Home until 2 p.m. when it will be taken to the church to lie in state.
The family will recieve friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
