Deborah "Debbie" Pannell Grindstaff
Deborah "Debbie" Pannell Grindstaff, age 52, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009, unexpectedly at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
She was a native of Mitchell County, NC, and is the daughter of June H. Pannell of Bakersville, NC, and the late James H. Pannell.
She was employed at Mountain Opportunity Center in Bakersville, NC, and was formerly employed for several years at Sallie's Mountain View Restaurant in Bakersville, NC. She was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother she is survived by one daughter, Ami Wilson of Bakersville, NC, one son, Brent Grindstaff of Bakersville, NC, two sisters, Vicki Snipes of Spruce Pine, NC, and Patti Morgan of Bakersville, NC, a twin brother, John Pannell of Bakersville, NC, and five very special granddaughters, Mahala Cantrell, Autumn Cantrell, Kaylie Grindstaff, Kari Ann Grindstaff, and Zella June Wilson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville, NC. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Steve Williams and Billy Stewart will be officiating the service.
Interment will follow the service at the Bakersville Memorial Cemetery.
