FUNERAL SERVICES - MR. CLAUDE MIDDLETON
Nahunta, Ga.,*Feb 21, 1936 (Oak Grove News). Funeral services were held at the Hortense Cemetery Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock for Mr. Claude Middleton of Brunswick. Mr. Middleton has lived here practically all his life until some few years ago, then making Brunswick his home. He has many friends who mourn at his going out along with the family. He has surviving him, his wife and five children, all of Brunswick; mother, Mrs. Susan Middleton of here, one brother, Mr. C. L. Middleton of Hortense; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Rhoden of Darien, Mrs. T. F. Brown of here; Mrs. E. R. Langdale of Waycross. The surviving family has the extended sympathy of the community.
Nahunta, Ga., Feb. 21, 1936. C. C. Middleton, 44, who resided on the Coastal Highway some three or four miles north of Brunswick, died at the City Hospital Thursday night after a short illness. He has resided in this county for some time. He is survived by his widow and six children, Emory, Claude Jr., Bennie, and Mae, Thelma, and Wilma. The funeral cortege left Baldwin & Edge's Chapel Saturday afternoon at 1:30 and services were held at Hortense Cemetery at 3 o'clock; conducted by the Rev. H. R. Gunby, Wesley Methodist Minister of Hortense,
