Michael Anthony Barton

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Anthony Barton, age 34 of Red Rock Texas, formerly of Simsboro, will be held at 2PM Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Bernice with Rev. Bill Reed officiating. Services will be under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Barton was born October 6, 1974 in Jonesboro to Robert and Olive Harris Barton. He died December 30, 2008 in Red Rock, Texas. He enjoyed music and played piano, guitar and violin and also enjoyed drawing and art. Mr. Barton also served his country in the US Army.
Mr. Barton is survived by his mother Olive Harris Barton of Ruston; one sister Dana Barton Morales and a half sister Allison Michelle Barton; one niece Skye Elizabeth Morales as well as eight aunts and uncles and numerous cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Barton and his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Sam Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barton.
Pallbearers will be Clay Harris, Matt Sadler, David Mitcham, Jeff Mitcham and Paul Mitcham. Visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 5PM until 7PM at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston.
