He was born October 19, 1916, in Brandonville, W.Va., a son of Lloyd Michael and Elvina Thomas Beeghly.

Mr. Beeghly was a 67-year member of Church of the Covenant, where he served as a deacon and trustee. He was a life member of Ripley Lodge 16 AF&AM in Ripley, W.Va., where he received his 50-year pin. Mr. Beeghly helped many of his students from Ripley High School get scholarships and gain admittance to WVU. Many of these students became vocational agriculture teachers at WVU and other schools.

In 1943, Mr. Beeghly moved to Washington to teach vocational agriculture at Trinity High School, replacing a teacher who had went off to war. He remained a teacher at Trinity High School for 12 years. After the war ended, he became a financial planner for Investors Diversified Services Inc. (now Ameriprise Financial). Mr. Beeghly ended his work career in the real estate development industry, developing and selling real estate.
