My grandfather was born 16 Feb 1886, St. Louis, MO; the youngest child of four born to James Henry "Harry" Pait/Pate and Mary M. Rodden. He used an assumed name of Walter K. Hall from the time he was a young child until approximately 1918 (32 y.o.)then assumed his real birth name, Walter Ira Pate (earlier the family spelled it PAIT)
Siblings:
1. Lulu Pait b: 31 Jul 1877,St. Louis, MO Women's Hospital
d:? maybe after Oct 1914;
2. Charles "Charlie" Pait-Hall b:12 Oct 1878, St. Louis, MO d:29 Oct 1967. He was a Pate but kept and died Charlie Hall and would not like the Pate name connected to him.
3. Percy (Ernest?) Pait b:1880/1882; d: probably before 1900 maybe born in St. Louis, MO.

Little is known about Lulu and Percy they may have married or were dead when on Sunday, Oct.4, 1914 on page 49 of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (St. Louis MO) an ad appeared searching for Mary M. Rodin (then 54 y.o.), Lulu, Charles, Percy and Walter Pait. Presumably it was placed there by Harry Pait.

His first wife was Lena Everson or Eversaw; b: 1879 thru 1887, Switerland-Germany. They were married 4 Jan 1913 in Oklahoma City, OK. It's unknown at this time if she died or if they divorced.

His second wife was Anna Irena Carmer-Atwood. Married around 24 Jul 1924 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co, KS - maybe a common law marriage.
They had 5 children together, two sets of twins; the first set died, the second set a boy Emmet Ira Pate and a girl Emma Anna Pate-Eckert; and the youngest a girl, my mother, Evalena.
They were married until Anna died.

His third wife was Lou Pillion and they were married 10 Jan 1951 until Walter's death in 1957. They are pictured in front of the house granddad built with his own hands in Ft. Scott, KS.
