Highlands - Robert Edward Allmon, 63, of Avon Park died Wednesday at Walker Memorial Hospital in Avon Park. He was born in Kansas City, Kan., and moved to this area 21 years ago from Janna, La. He was a telephone cable splicer, a Baptist and member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Francis; two daughters, Glena McCall of Avon Park and Judy Godwin of Hilliard; one brother, Arthur of Palm Bay and Clyde of Erie, Kan.; and two grandsons.
