Frank E. Irwin Sr., 73, of Kerr Addition died at the Clearfield Hospital yesterday following an extended illness.
Born at Mountain Run near Penfield on April 21, 1884, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Kitchen) Irwin. He was a member of the Kerr Addition Methodist Church.
Mr. Irwin is survived by his wife, the former Maude Owens of Clarion, and the following children: Mrs. Harold Maney, Curwensville R. D.; Mrs. Chester Parks, Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Lillian Cutler, Clearfield R. D.; Mrs. Violet Renaud, Glen Richey; William Irwin, Grampian R. D.; Frank Irwin, Irvona; and James Irwin, Hyde.
Fifty-three grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Clayton Bloom, Salem, Oregon; Mrs. Lillian Francis, Glendale, Calif.; Mrs. Ralphine Krebs, Warrenton, Oregon, also survive. Mrs. Irwin was preceded in death by five daughters and one son.
Funeral services will be held from the Leavy Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Merle Saxman officiating. Interment will be made in the Centre Cemetery at Hyde.
Friends may call at the funeral home today after 7 p.m., tomorrow afternoon and evening and until time of services on Wednesday.
