Irma (Tipton) Dragoo, 90, of Colorado Springs, passed away February 8, 2011. She was born on September 7, 1920, in Ramah, Colorado. Irma attended the Alta Vista School district and graduated from Calhan High School in 1939. Soon after, she married her husband of 69 years, Lymond Dragoo. They would have two sons, Richard (Dick) and Jerry Dragoo. Irma was a homemaker. She enjoyed creating canvas stitch, sewing outfits for her family and making her homemade cakes and pies, loved by all. Other hobbies included fishing and reading. After her husband's retirement, Irma and Lymond moved to Penrose, Colorado. During the winter months, they spent time in Yuma, Arizona. Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Lymond Dragoo, in November of 2009. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Margaret) Dragoo of Colorado Springs and Jerry Dragoo (Gwen Jones) of Colorado City. Irma also is survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A celebration of Irma's life will be hosted by Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Saturday, February 12, 2011,10:00 am. Visitation will held 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, February 11, 2011.
