Martin - Mark. A Martin, 49, of 811 Hemphill, died at 6 a.am. Sunday in a local hospital. He had been a resident of Houston for 20 years. A city fireman, he had been employed by the city for 18 years. He was a member of Fire Fighters Union, Local No. 341, and of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosalie Martin; the mother, Mrs. Florence Martin, both of Houston; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Hauffe, Mrs. Clyde Sargent, both of Houston, Mrs. Carl Jacobson of San Diego, Cal., and Mrs. George Skeeters of Houston; and two brothers, Dolph Martin of Sheldon and John Martin of Houston. Services at 4 p.p. Monday in the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Louis B. Quarles officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbears: Bert Hoose, Chief L.W. Clooney, Capt. L.P. Jackson, Chief T.J. Powers, T.G. Green and D. Terry.
