Dean Vining, 82, of Topeka, passed away Fri., Feb. 6, 2009.
He was born May 4, 1926 in Wilsey, KS. He served in the United States Navy during WW II.
Mr. Vining was director of Design and Development for Stormont-Vail Hospital retiring after 38 years. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, and Arab Shrine.
Dean married Ruth Ann VanDeVeer on Jan 12, 1980 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include 8 children, 2 siblings, 15 grandchildren, and many other loved ones.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wed., Feb., 11, 2009 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1320 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Interment with military honors by the U.S. Navy will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, KS. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Stormont-Vail Emergency Room Fund, 1500 SW 10th, Topeka, KS 66604.
