MRS. HASSELL DIES
IN RAYMONDVILLE
RAYMONDSVILLE, April 1
Mrs. J. P. Hassell, 77, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank L. Wilson, here Tuesday morning after an illness of about three months. She lived in El Paso until she underwent surgery in Temple several months ago and had moved to her daughter's home to convalesce.
Born at Snow Hill Ala, she married John Pope Hassell, in Bazette, Texas, in 1895. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in El Paso.
In addition to Mrs. Wilson, she is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. C. O. Sanders, Dallas, Mrs. C. C. Davis, and Mrs. W. S. Clark, of El Paso; two sons, W. P. and F. B. Hassell, both of New Mexico; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 pm from the Duddlesten Chapel with the Rev F M Wheat, pastor of the Raymondville First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be made in Raymondville cemetery.
Pall bearers will be W H Phillips, James Duddlesten, Mike Brenner, Mike McManus, Billy Joe Fuller, and W K Ames.
