Kenneth Pitts of Cairo, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009, in Thomasville, GA as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services for Mr. Pitts will be on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Long Branch Baptist Church, Cairo, GA. Interment will follow in the Long Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Active Pallbearers will be Robert Carver, Donnie Carver, Jackie Wilbanks, Jim Carver, Rob Avery and John Carver. Serving as honorary escort will be Blaine Benton, Burt Reagan, Jimmy Carver, and Whit Benton.

Mr. Pitts was born in Thomasville, GA on June 17, 1962, to Alice Virginia Pitts who preceded him in death. He was married to Sandra Elaine Benton who survives and was a truck driver for Southern AG Carriers.

Survivors include: his wife, Sandra Pitts, Cairo, GA; son, Aidan Pitts, Cairo, GA; foster child, D. J. Pitts, Cairo, GA; mother-in-law and father-in-law, David E. and Annie Benton, Cairo, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. David and Mellanie Benton, Doerun, GA, Greg and Lisa Benton, Cairo, GA; nieces and nephews, Brook and Chad Paige, Cairo, GA, Whit Benton, Doerun, GA, Blaine and Chelsea Benton, Cairo, GA and a host of aunts and uncles.
