Frostburg,Maryland --- Sara R. Gerson, 87, of Frostburg Heights Apartments, Frostburg, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Dec. 9, 1911, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Wolf) Gerson. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Gerson.
The deceased was employed by Kay Jewelers and Whitacre's Gift Shop. She was a member of B'Er Chayim Congregation.
Surviving are one sister, Ruth Hohing, Frostburg; a nephew, Lawrence H. Hohing and wife Dorothy, LaVale; and three grand-nieces and -nephews; Stefanie, Erin and Ryan Hohing, LaVale.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with Rabbi Becker of B'Er Chayim Congregation.
Interment will be in the Eastview Cemetery.
