Irene E. Cullum, 75, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at Heritage House in Greensburg.

Born April 29, 1930, in Harve de Grace, Md., she was the daughter of Herbert Tabias and Alice (Combs) Singleton, both deceased.

Mrs. Cullum retired from Bata Shoe Factory in Maryland after 27 years. She had also worked at J.C. Hirschman's in Indianapolis for 11 years and the Glen Eagle Sewing Factory in Maryland for several years. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary in Rushville. She was also an avid bowler, participating in the local Friday night Mixed League, the Ladies' Recreation League, the Coffee Bowl League and the Early Bird League.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Mrs. Jerry) Downey Jr. of Greensburg and Melody (Mrs. Chris) Maple of Rushville; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Neville Cullum.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor Donnie Yates officiating. Entombment will follow in East Hill Shrine Mausoleum in Rushville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
